When my children were young and living at home, we baked cookies for the holidays and made crafts year around.  We started with making cookies for their teachers at Christmas and then spread out to inviting friends and family to join in on the fun. This lasted even into their adulthood until they moved away.  Without my girls, I didn’t feel like I had a reason to bake anymore until a friend asked me to help her with a birthday party.  The very first dessert I made were cake pops and they didn’t exactly come out the best (okay, they were actually kind of bad!) but it inspired me to learn how to bake and make quality desserts that not only look good but taste great!  Thus, an interest was born and I began to take classes at night and on weekends; giving away samples to friends and co-workers. Eventually, people began to ask me for cake balls and then cookies for their events, which led me back to a passion I didn’t even know I had!
